What just happened here?

” It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed? “

– George Will, 9/23 Washington Post

Is this what I think it is?  Did George Will just endorse Barack Obama? or at least express a preference?

  1. Ed,

No disrespect was meant to you by the previous post on Obama, you know where I stand on politics. I do not like Sarah Palin or John Mccain at all, but I firmly believe that Obama would be much worse for this country. You and most of my friends happen to be very liberal and supportive of his ideals, and that’s more than ok, but I am moderate at best…I would call myself an economic conservative/social liberal. Obama is pretty much a socialist, and we really don’t need higher taxes, restrictive trade policies and other things at a time like this.

I absolutely respect your opinion, and if Obama wins, he will be our president, and i’ll respect that and not bitch and moan like I hope that he governs in a more moderate manner than our past few presidents have, but I have a feeling he will not; especially with democratic majorities in the senate and house.

Like you said in a previous post, political discourse should be polite, and I’m afraid I came off a bit combative; so I apologize.

I hope you and your family are well. Please contine to e-mail me updates to your blog postings, I enjoy reading them.

    Myles
